On Thursday, September 28th we will be having our first school mass in memory of Ms. Barrera. All parents are welcome to join us in the gym at 10:00 am.
Our Terry Fox run is scheduled for Friday, September 29th, starting at 1:00 pm. The rain date for this event is Monday, October 1st.
The students are bringing home information sheets for the Little Jammers program. Please check the front pocket of their agenda.
Thank you parents for signing the agendas every day. If you need to contact me, please feel free to leave a note in your child's agenda. I check them every day, so its a great way to reach me.

Monday, September 25th
Please make sure your child has a refillable water bottle at school. They are encouraged to keep their water bottles on their desks. With this extreme heat they need to stay hydrated!
Today was the first day with our classroom restructure. As of today, room 121 is a grade 2/3 class. We welcomed our new friends and said "see ya around" to some other friends. We started our day with a fabulous presentation in the gym. Ask your child to tell you all about it. The students also worked on word study, patterning in math (gr 3's wrote their math test today), French, and at the end of the day, physical education. Every Monday the students will be dismissed by Miss Cronin as they are in gym right to the end of the day. The dismissal routine will be as usual, but you will see Miss Cronin, not myself.

Math page 5, #4 and #5 to be completed for tomorrow.
The students are bringing home Terry Fox permission forms to be signed and returned back to school. They are also bringing home student information forms. Please review and make any necessary changes, then return to school.
The students have gym tomorrow. Please make sure they have their indoor running shoes.

Today we began the first unit in mathematics (Pattering). Each student completed a diagnostic assessment so I could get a feel for where everybody is currently in their understanding.
Today we also began our first unit in Science (Forces and Movement). The students investigated various forces in action and identified forces as either a push or a pull.
In Language, we began our first unit of word study. The students have their weekly list words in their agendas. The weekly spelling tests will be on Fridays.
